The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will conduct a DUI checkpoint in the Sacramento area to promote safer roadways by identifying and removing impaired drivers.

- Location: Westbound Highway 16, east of County Road 97, in an unincorporated area of Yolo County near Woodland.
- Set-up Time: Begins at 5:30 p.m.
- Operational Hours: From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

- The checkpoint may be canceled due to inclement weather. If this happens, CHP officers will shift to roving DUI patrols.
- Officers will use breath-testing devices and have National Highway Traffic Safety Administration-certified experts on-site to assess driver impairment from alcohol or drugs.
